How to Build Online Presence
If you are serious about making full-time income as an affiliate marketer, be prepared to work on building a strong online presence. 2-3 posts on your blog every couple weeks will not make you rich, but 1 post a day or 1 post every other day on a topic that you have expertise in is more likely to bring an audience to your blog or site. You may have heard that many people find it challenging to build an online presence. It takes patience and persistance to work on a project that may not bring any income for weeks or even months. That is the hardest part of an affiliate marketing career - it takes time to get noticed by Google, it takes time to attract an audience, it takes time to see your work pay off… Everything takes time when you are just starting out in the affiliate marketing business. But what many people don’t realize is that once you have one project that is working for you, you have a site that can help you promote another site, a friend pointing in the new site’s direction and telling Google ”this site is cool too”. Now, when you have a lot of friends, Google trusts you, and ranking on Google for your key words becomes easier.
If you want to build a strong online presence, you have to look at every page and every site you build as an individual project that will eventually become a building block of a bigger project. You start out with a blog post, then post on a related topic, then have one post point to another post or another page of your site. You use article marketing, guest posting, social bookmarking, and forums to promote your site. And before you know it, Google decides you are serious about your topic, and your site is worth sending traffic to. Once your first site is established, building a new site and promoting a new product becomes an easier task – you know what works and what doesn’t, and you have a site that can give you valuable backlinks. The smaller projects will eventually help you build your online presence and your online brand. And the strong online presence will be your key to success in affiliate marketing career.
